About Chris Clancy
I started as a pianist, then a guitarist, then a singer. I fronted Mutiny Within, signed to Roadrunner Records at 23, formed Wearing Scars with Andy James, and now I play bass and sing clean vocals in As I Lay Dying.
The other half of my work happens behind the desk. I’ve spent eighteen years on major-label records, the last eight working with Colin Richardson at Andy Sneap’s Backstage Studios: together we produced chart albums for Massive Wagons, Those Damn Crows and Scarlet Rebels. I most recently engineered guitars for Architects - The Sky, the Earth & All Between.
I’m based in the UK and work remotely with bands worldwide.
